Eva Nahari is a Director of Product at Cloudera, one of Silicon Valleys record unicorn companies in the data and machine learning platform technology space. Before joining Cloudera 5 years ago and helping to lead their product strategy and industry leading partnerships, she helped engineer world-known Java Virtual Machine (JVM) technologies at Appeal Virtual Machines, BEA Systems, Oracle and Azul Systems, and manage strategic relationships (Intel, Sun, RedHat), to finally land in the exciting and challenging world of product management. Throughout her 15+ year career she’s worked with Fortune 500 enterprise customers to successfully adopt technology trends; such as SOA, Cloud, Big Data, and most recently context-aware / ML services.
Eva has a M.Sc. in computer science with the Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden, and has also been awarded two patents on Garbage Collection heuristics and algorithms, and one on mobile security. She also pioneered Deterministic Garbage Collection. She’s a popular speaker on everything from garbage collection to NLP (Natural Language Processing) as well as a popular mentor for women in tech. Later years she has also been actively advising startups and VCs on product strategy and business opportunities.
